Hi Josh, I've never had to reboot after installing or upgrading OSSEC, under
Red Hat or Windows 2000/2003.

Subject: [ossec-list] Is it possible to install OSSEC agent without a reboot?
Importance: Low

Hi,

I have many critical production systems that I can't reboot easily. Is there a
way to install the OSSEC agent without needing a reboot?

I compiled the binaries on one system in the environment and I've been
installing the other systems by using these same pre-compiled binaries. I'm
able to register the agent to the server and everything seems to run fine, but
I just want to make sure a reboot isn't needed for the OSSEC software to be
fully functional.

Thanks for your help!

- Josh
