This isn't enough information to help troubleshoot this issue. After switching to relay through 127.0.0.1, what error did you get from OSSEC? What error did you see in your maillog (typically /var/log/maillog)? What smtp daemon are you using? How is it configured? > On Oct 17, 10:33 pm, Jason 'XenoPhage' Frisvold > <[email protected]> wrote: >> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- >> Hash: SHA1 >> >> On Oct 15, 2010, at 10:41 AM, pavan shetty wrote: >> >> > small correction in the previous mail, what i mean was that i am not able >> > to receive any notification if the smtp server is secure. >> >> Are you sending the alerts to a server that only listens on 465, or are you >> sending alerts to the local mailserver and that mailserver isn't passing >> them on ? >> >> - --------------------------- >> Jason 'XenoPhage' Frisvold >> [email protected] >> - --------------------------- >> "Any sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from technology." >> - - Niven's Inverse of Clarke's Third Law >> >> -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- >> Version: GnuPG/MacGPG2 v2.0.14 (Darwin) >> >> iEYEARECAAYFAky7M2AACgkQ8CjzPZyTUTRL/ACcCKuTUY5YOEtLsBRcaSO0oeDv >> BwYAn1h3gYa0LwxCEdOnW8GzHFwf6kRz >> =AsnA >> -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
