I've been having issues with Fedora 9 x64 as an ossec server. No agents
can communicate with it. After going round and round trying everything
under the sun, I moved the ossec server to a CentOS 5 machine on the
same network.
Everything is working fine using the same configuration, other than the
IP address the agents use.
Bottom line is it appears there's a bug running ossec server on Fedora 9
x64. I realize that version is ancient in Fedora-land, but thought I
would share this information with the list. Thanks for all the helpful
replies.
