The article isn't about OSSEC, it's about a comment made by a Trend
Micro executive.
In my opinion the motivation behind the comment was transparent, and
it's the kind of thing I expect people in his position to make.

That said, the article was the topic of some IRC discussion this
morning, and there has been a bit of twitter traffic about it.
The author, Alan Shimel, has stated on twitter (to Wim Remes, myself,
and Daniel Cid (although not exactly directly to him)) the following:
"If you and the rest of the OSSEC folks want to show how great the
product is and how it continues to improve I am all ears"

He's made it clear that this offer doesn't have to mention Trend in any way.

I haven't responded yet. One of the reasons I haven't is that I do not
use OSSEC in a professional environment. Just because it works and is
neat on my home network doesn't mean it's right for the enterprise.

So depending on what exactly he's looking for regarding us showing
"how great the product is and how it continues to improve," I think
some community participation is in order.
