[ossec-list] Web User Interface

>From all I have read, it appears that the OSSEC Web User Interface
must be installed on a local/server OSSEC installation.  Due to some
“political” limitations with the box our OSSEC server is running on, I
am unable to install the Web User Interface on our OSSEC server.  Has
anyone attempted to manipulate the Web user Interface to function
properly on a non OSSEC server and somehow use the data from the OSSEC
server to make it function properly?
