Yes, it works for me.  I export a readonly nfs export of the OSSEC server
directory and mounted on a server with wui installed.  I then had to change
wui config file to point to the directory i have the nfs mounted on
server.  I also modify the nagios web interface with a link to wui, to make
it easier for me to only have to remember one URL.
