I got hit on myself... the header file included was not accessible even though we mentioned in the Config.make file.
I added the below entry in the ssl.c file #include "/usr/include/openssl/ssl.h" #include "/usr/include/openssl/evp.h" And now this completed fine. Wasted so much of time on this.
