I'll grant that. BIden could step right in. Actually the ticket "should" be the other way around. Obama doesn't have the experience to be President by any normal measure and Biden has loads. Having her one (rather old) heartbeat away is going to take some selling. OTOH, *if* McCain gets elected it would be assumed that he is a one term guy and a women would be the presumptive nominee in 4 years. > > > as for Hillary voters, there's a percentage who were already > republicans to begin with who were skewing the Democratic primary - > they might come out for McCain - and the media will help that "race" > happen, for sure Sure but Obama pissed of a boat load of real Hilliary supports too. Personally I think that when they get in the booth and it's just them and their $Deity they will vote for Obama no mater what they say. I don't know any "real" Democrats that will vote McCain under any condition. Even if they are pissed. > > > but, seriously, she doesn't seem qualified - and she's somewhat of an > extremist The problem is that the Obama camp has to raise the experience question very carefully. In some ways she has more experience than Obama. Either way, dissing her experience will raise the whole issue and Obama losses that if it becomes a public pissing match. As for extremist, that is the very reason Obama is trying to run to the center. He has a perfect 100% on the liberal voting scale. Good if you are a KOS kid, bad if you want to actually get elected. Again, Biden looks like the better candidate if you are talking moderate Democrat. You can see the ads that McCain is already running, mostly using Hillary and Biden's own words about Obama being ready. It's going to get a lot harsher in the near future. The darn thing is that this isn't a fight I can get fired up over. We see McCain as simply the most moderate Democrat. Palin might look extreme compared to him, but she is simply a normal Repub. =c= _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
