I'd much rather Obama as Pres. I thought Biden was a good political pick, but I was very disappointed. Biden was key in pushing through the October 2002 resolution in favor of making what is plainly obvious to all, the biggest foreign policy blunder in at least 50 years. In fact, Biden was a strong proponent of eliminating Saddam back in 1998, well before Dubya was even talking about it (in public). Considering Obama won his position over Hillary *largely* based on their differences on the decision to go to war in Iraq, picking Biden undermines Obama's credibility to some degree. On the flip side, Biden is a leader in the Senate and he might be the perfect guy to help Obama push through some of the changes this country needs in order to "restore the promise of America" as Obama put it last night. In that sense, I support Biden as VP. Let's hope Obama can remain Pres and can help Biden think more rationally when critically decisions arise. Maybe Biden can learn something from Obama. And certainly, Obama will learn things from Biden wrt to the mechanics of the Senate. > > > Having her one (rather old) heartbeat away is going to take some > selling.
