"A body representing 75% of the world's independent tanker fleet has
called on the UN to co-ordinate naval patrols off Somalia's coast to
help reduce piracy."

See, they "think" they should blockade an area of thousands of miles
of international waters, because the pirates are out there are
intercepting ships thousands of miles off the coast of any nation.

Israel "thinks" it needs to blockade Gaza.

Russia, Norway, Canada, and Denmark, "think" that they can extend
their 200 mile border far beyond to include parts of the Arctic, under
a new-ish UN convention that someone thought up.

I don't know where you hope to go with the appeal to international
laws to show how unfair and abusive Israel is. These laws are made and
re-made as nations renegotiate their interests. "International waters"
doesn't mean much in the age of missiles.

Israel is occupying land which a number of feudal Arabs and
fundamentalist Muslims believe should belong to Muslims now and
forevermore. The whole of Israel should not exist, according to them.
It is a matter of feudal and religious principle, that Israel MUST NOT
EXIST. You're fretting over international laws, but that stuff means
squat given the severity of the situation.

Israel thinks weapons are being smuggled into Gaza so they blockade.
Activists do the obvious childish strategy of trying to smuggle in
something innocuous and virtuous accompanied by reporters to gain
world sympathy. So that what.... Israel lifts the blockade so they can
go back to smuggling weapons in?

The Israelis may be bastards, but I really don't envy their fate.
