Hamas was already marked as a terrorist organization. Over the last 4 years Hamas has fired more that 4000 !! rockets into southern Israel targeting civilians. 4 !...@#$ years... If the Bush administration had fired missles into Canada for that many years and canada finally fired back then, yes, I'd blame the people in the US for supporting a terrorist government. > Palestinians who are being > killed include children, Fatah supporters, and those who only > supported > Hamas because they were marginally competent and less > corrupt. > It is horrible. War is horrible. Women and children die, for no reason other than they are unlucky enough to be in the wrong place. OTOH, innocent Israeli women, children and other citizens have been being attacked daily for 4 years. It's not do to lack of trying that Hamas has not been able to kill as many Israelis as they would like. It's that they just don't have the equipment YET. If they had the means you know they would kill as many Jews as they possibly could as quickly as they could and they would target civilians... Israel has no good reason to wait for them to obtain the means. Then again, if you live in southern israel where you have 15 seconds to get to a bomb shelter and have to do it TWICE a day for years and years on end, I can imagine that you just might want your government to make it stop by any means necessary. If my neighbor shot at my house twice a day for 6 years, terrorized my wife and kids, and the police (UN) refused to step in and FORCE him to stop you can believe that sooner or later I'd go deal with it. If he promised to stop and then kept firing.. I'd kill him. You simply cannot negotiate with someone that wants you dead. Hamas wants Israel dead. Period. and they have the tacit support of Syria and Iran. What sort of bargaining position should Israel take with someone like that? IMHO, This is nothing compared to what is going to happen sooner or later. =c= _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
