The Republican Representative from Iowa? Or Stephen King the horror author? Or someone else? In either case this is harder to research purely because it's a contemporary figure. Even MLK, Jr.'s actions are done and a number of years behind us. Stephen King is almost too "close" to easily be able to step back and see the influence. I would stake this sort of thing as a valid use of Wikipedia though. Scan through an article looking for notable events or contributions. There's always the view that as an author there's a contribution to the arts and towards encouragement of others to follow a similar path. I think you'll have a hard time identifying a specific event related to Stephen King that has had a significant societal impact. Perhaps several years from now it will be easier to look back on the body of King's work and show how it has influenced writing, arts, etc. Short of finding a significant event (spoke out against a MA bill which would restrict the sale of video games?) I'd start looking for others who reference King as an influence and look at what they have done. -- -- -- arno s hautala /-\ [email protected] -- -- _______________________________________________ OSX-Nutters mailing list | [email protected] http://lists.tit-wank.com/mailman/listinfo/osx-nutters List hosted at http://cat5.org/
