Perhaps the issue is not who does cognition, but who reimburses your facility for the treatment of cognitive deficits?

Subject: cognition is not OT

Hi everybody,
I have a good one.  One of my co workers asked for time off to attend a course on cognition.  She was denied because, per our supervisor and director, "OT does not do cognition, speech therapists do".  Last time I checked, It required cognition to perform ADL.  We tried to argue, but the people in charge are a PT and a non licensed SLP who don't want to listen.
