My father had both knees replaced at the same time. He appreciated the reaching stick and the long handled shoe horn I gave him; rejected the sock aid. The therapy was done by PT. What ADL's he wanted to do, he was independent with a few days after his surgery. He did need a different way in getting in and out of the car for a few weeks, but he figured that out on his own.
