I think we all have a list of goals we use often, but i don't think having a pre printed list I check off from is the way to go. I never have two patients with the same list of goals, and I think a therapist that does, should think about if he or she is writing goals for the patient or making the patient fit his or her goals. What I brought up to my supervisor was, how am I going to teach students to write goals? And how will new therapist and students learn to add goals as needed? Like one of the other responces pointed out, who is going to take the time to fill in the "other" space? Will the skill of writing goals be lost?
