I would like to refer you to a publication developed by the American Society on Aging that is devoted to successful aging. Contact the web site <www.asaging.org/midalert>. It's a great and hopeful article by Marian Diamond and her husband, Arnold Scheibel on their brain research. I've also used the Self-Discovery Tapestry instrument <www.lifecoursepublishing.com> as an effective counseling tool for recent retirees. They're able to do some individual life-review and discover old interests to which they can adapt their lives. Keep those retirees out of the kitchen! Phyllis
