A better way to look at evidenced based practice view it as reason and logic
based. Meaning that you are taking your knowledge and understanding of the
client, occupation, science, current literature and practice methods and
integrating the ideas to form the best approach for treatment. By doing this
you can explain your treatment bringing more validity to practice and
hopefully providing more effective treatment.

Very well put, Jennifer. The approach of evidence based practice is not a rigid approach based solely upon someone else's strict research studies, but rather a synthesis and critical analysis of information and clinical experience, always keeping in mind and evaluating the patient's response to the treatment being provided. Negating its value because one specific research project may not apply to one specific patient misses the point,
