For all US OTs. A majority in the House are now supporting H.R. 1125 which is entitled the Medicare Access to Rehabilitation Act. This bill would repeal the $1500 therapy cap on Medicare Part B services. Whether you work in a setting which does Medicare Part B billing or not this bill impacts the profession. The caps when last enforced, limited jobs and restructured the supply and demand curve for all of the rehabilitation industry. There is a like bill in the Senate (S.569). This is not the time to sit back and congratulate ourselves. If you've written or phoned your congressperson do so again. If you haven't, shame on you, but there is still time to redeem yourself.
