In  the  past,  most PT's that I've talked with about this subject, have
agreed  with this perspective. However, this PT has a different idea. He
believed  that  the  current  $1,500.00 cap on out-patient PT/SLP and OT
almost  mandated  that  PT's  treat lower extremity while OT treat upper
extremity.  The  manager felt that clients would be able to receive more
PT services if OT is utilized to treat upper extremity issues.
If we are trained in school and are licensed by our state to treat UE issues then why shouldn't we??? UE is included in the whole person.
