Hey all, There is a nice article in Advance for OT titled "Memory lane in a Binder." I have utilized memory books in the past with inconsistent results. Does anyone out there use this on a frequent basis? If so, do you have any formulary for the contents? How do you document outcomes and/or develop goals? Can the effectiveness of this intervention be circumscribed to certain dementia levels? If so, what scale do you use (i.e. can you relate use of memory books to certain Allen levels, scores on MMSE or the Blessed brief cognitive rating, etc.)? What format has worked best for you (i.e. albums, notebooks, wallets)?
Thanks for the information in advance! Jimmie Arceneaux, LOTR Metro Preferred Home Care 3501 N.
