I would ensure him that this issue is very important to you and other OTs in his district and that you will relate his response to the other concerned parties after hearing his response. If you don't get a good answer by email, call and speak with one of his aides. Putting a little pressure works very effectively especially during an election year. Tell them you are interested to learn his and any opponents positions so that you may make an informed decision upon time to vote. That ought to light a spark! Jimmie

His response was very noncomittal about the wonderful things that the healthcare personnel do. I wonder if in his situation he has a conflict of interest, since RNs stand to benefit with their current preferred status? What do you suggest in this case when the representative has a personal stake in not advancing the issue? I also believe this is an important issue.
