Therapy Cap Challenge Answered! Members Urged To Keep Pressure on Congress In mid-June, AOTA issued a grassroots challenge to you to send 1,000 messages to Congress, asking legislators to take action to repeal the cap on outpatient rehabilitation. You responded by sending 7, 650 letters to Congress—amazing! "The response was very gratifying but we can’t stop here," said AOTA Chief Public Affairs Officer Christina Metzler, as the federal budget, the debate on Social Security, and other issues may crowd out action on the cap. "The only weapon we have is intense grassroots pressure on Congress," she added.
