Hello Ron: You asked many good questions. I don't have time at the moment to address them but I hope others will. However, I do want to take just one second to say forget what you wrote below.
You may be only a 'student' but you are in a GREAT position to argue points of interest!!! In fact, this may be the BEST time to discuss issues and concerns that you may have. I'm sure some of what you read on OTnow conflicts with your teaching and I assure you that it will certainly conflict with what you see in practice. So, while your OT mind is just starting to develop, jump right in there and "fire away"!!
