Hello All: I am currently attending a course on complete decongestive therapy for treatment of lymphedema. If you don't know about CDT, don't feel alone. Basically, CDT is 4 steps for the tx. of lymphedema:
1. Manual Lymphatic Drainage - MLD 2. Compression wrapping 3. Exercises 4. Skin Care I am skeptical about the efficacy of the MLD portion of this treatment. I am investigating literature that supports or denies the outcomes of MLD. I thought the OTlist my also be a good source of information. If anyone on the list has knowledge about this topic and is willing to discuss it, please let me know.
