Hello Mike: I've looked at the OPTIMAL, but haven't used it yet. I do use the COPM, but not for all my patients. Often, times I use the amount of assistance required. For example, "patient will transfer to and from...with min assistance using a standard walker". AOTA posted a message about addressing CMS about the lack of an OT specific eval. I've also used depression inventories and dementia screens.
