Hi, I have a pt who desires to take a shower in his old fashioned tub (you know the ones that have legs). However, he has a gait abnormality and a history of falls and has been taking sponge baths at sinkside. I asked him to measure the height of his tub and it's 39"!!!! I have been looking at various DME sites but to no avail. Even the leg extenders on transfer tub benches provide about 6 more inches but fall short. Given his hx of falls, is there any thing out there that may facilitate these tub transfers???
