Thank you David and thank you Joan your emails have been very helpful :-)

I have to present my research proposal on the 1st August and I found three
articles that have done research in the area that I'm looking at. During our
presentation we have to do a little bit of critquing so at present I'm
trying to find evidence as to why this area needs research.

Its really exciting when you find a little area that you can research and
little has been done on it.

Because QUEST is more quantitative I can suggest that there are few
standardised assessments and published articles that look at service user
experience regarding local authority OT services that are qualitative!

Thank you again I will have a look at both the links you have sent me

Becky :-)

As for Outcome measures - I was an OTA in an orthopedic setting and never
used an outcome measure, but a general one that I critiqued for an
assignment and actually used with a client is Mayers Lifestyle
Questionnaire. It is very general and easy to use, although it doesn't have
indepth questions such as MOHO. Christine Mayers who created the
questionnaire has done for physical health and for mental health. I believe
she is in the middle of creating one for older people.

If you google Mayers Lifestyle Questionnaire you will find copies of both.
She is keen for people to use them and provide feedback to her.

Hope your email David and this begins a little chat :-)
