Ron,
I can't believe it took you 10 years to be called a nurse! I've been called by
the wrong title so many times since I started working in the SNF and hospital
that I just smile and correct people. Usually explaining what it is we do in
the process. I've been called a doctor, nurse, therapist and "there's a girl
here to do something with me." Especially since myself and other members of the
rehab team will often do a cleanup or bedding change if the pt's condition at
the time we walk in warrants it. I'd rather leave a patient clean, dry and
happy than waiting for someone to do something that I can do at the time. And
many times the mobility, etc. is thearpeutic. (Okay. Off my soapbox now.)
