At the pain clinic I work for we have an extensive intake process that includes an interview with the counselor, psych eval, PPT, and history and physical. We used to have a dr that did the history and physical, but he is gone now and I am doing them. The problem is... how do I bill for those? Someone suggested to me that the CPT code 95201 is outside of my scope, but the code for OT eval doesn't really cover the extent of the H&P. It's a more extensive interview and exam, which includes several orthopedic exams (tests that are usually done by PTs, but I have been trained to do them). I thought I remembered seeing a code for extended OT evals, but I can't find it anywhere. I'm not even sure where to look to see if I can use the 95201 code as an OT. Does anyone know?
