You will think I'm making this up, but I promise that it's the truth. At work today, a nurse says to me: "Ron, when do I refer to OT". I said, "Janet, when a person is having difficulty taking care of themselves...., then an OT referral is indicated". The nurse responded with "Oh good, I have a patient I wanted to refer but when I mentioned OT to her she said she didn't want to do pegs and cones". "Pegs and cones", can you believe it!!!
I just about fell on the floor laughing. Of course I didn't, I explained that some OT's yada-yada-yada...
