I've found that just showing a person 1 or 2 times is all it takes to
learn how to use a reacher. It's not an overly complicated piece of
equipment and most people quickly adapt to how/if they are going to use
it.

Subj: [OTlist] Game using reacher

DR> Helllo all, I have a patient who is one week post thorasic laminectomy and I
DR> am teaching her how to use a reacher. Does anyone have a fun idea for an
DR> activity that I can do with the reacher that goes beyond simply picking
DR> stuff off the floor. Maybe some kind of game. I don't mind making something?
DR> Thanks Diane R OTA
