I tend to hold off on the neuro - optometrist straight away as generally there are significant changes in the first couple of weeks if the patient is given exercises etc. Practicing focusing and scanning task, one eye at a time and then the 2 together etc. The changes often alter what the neuro-optometrist would do and may even resolve the situation.
