I'm not sure where to go to fix it. I can plug in the url: > http://servername/otrs/installer.pl and I can create the db fine. When I go > to index.pl, I get: Error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through > socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock (2). It's no wonder since I don't have > that directory. The /etc/my.cnf only lists /tmp/mysql.sock for both the > client and the server. What's happening? Thanks in advance. Thanks for the reply Martin, but I think something else is happening. I didn't do anything with the modules (nor did I create any sym links to the mysql.sock) and merely shut the web services down and restarted ( about 7 times), then, for some reason, I got my login screen. That's the good news...the bad news is that I can't login as any user with or without a password.....checking the archives again.... _______________________________________________ OTRS mailing list: otrs - Webpage: http://otrs.org/ Archive: http://lists.otrs.org/pipermail/otrs To unsubscribe: http://lists.otrs.org/cgi-bin/listinfo/otrs Support oder Consulting fr Ihr OTRS System? => http://www.otrs.de/
