Solution, Open SUSE 10.2 does not set the default gateway for the network card. Using netstat -rn it showed 0.0.0.0
Using route add -net default gw <your gateway IP here> eth0 I was able to "force" it to take the gateway when [EMAIL PROTECTED] did not want to. Thanks to Christoph & Andy for the help!!
