I do it from a different way and more simple I thing so I will share with
you
go to /etc or /bin [mysql dir] and type
mysqladmin -u your_username -p password the_new_password
after that do what Michael (Great Help) told
Try looking in Kernel/Config.pm
# (The password of database user. You also can use
bin/CryptPassword.pl
# for crypted passwords.)
$Self->{DatabasePw} = '';
