I had increased the max_allowed_packet size to the suggested 20MB, but
omitted to restart the MySQL server after doing so. Duh.
Now I did so, and the install of the FAQ module completed without error.

part of the OTRS installation package on unix based machines.
If you change this value in the config file you should restart mysql
afterwards. Can you try if this resolves your problem and let us know
via the list?

OTRS seems to be running fine for me, but when I tried to install the
