One of our customers sent an email to a queue and the email contained a scanned (PDF) form with sensitive data; I need to delete the attachment while hopefully retaining the body of the email.

I am storing attachments in the DB, so I can't just delete it from disk.

Is there any way to do this other than manually editing the MIME email BLOB in the DB, which would be messy??

Hi Mike,

AFAIK this is no built-in functionality, please see

http://lists.otrs.org/pipermail/otrs/2010-February/031041.html .

I don't know if Philippe could solve this, perhaps an enhancment bug entry exists. I'm also interested in this functionality.

So I think you really have to edit in the database or delete the whole ticket unless you know how to use the OTRS API.

Regards

Alexander
