in mind the difference between the listing of customers/users (who's
allowed) and authentication (are you "you"/passwords).

LDAP connectivity is a protocol and communication issue, not having to do
with the OS that makes the connection, or the OS holds the server. Linux
connections to Exchange happen all the time.

The same code in Config.pm works for Windows as well as Linux, as long as
the perl LDAP module is installed.

Information retrieved from third parties (other DB, LDAP) does *not* sync to
OTRS DB. It is queried.

AuthSync for Users (agents) is not demographic information, it's only about
reducing authentication requests to the LDAP server.
