Hi, My thought is to see if you can score something with a G3 on board - I have a Beige 266 which responded well to extra RAM and big IDE Hard Drive (all bought at one of weekend computer markets (i.e. PC spec) plus an PCI-USB card from Tricky Dickies and it is quite amazing what it can do. Runs Jaguar OK - No speed demon and the USB card makes up for non availability of the serial ports. [I loaded Jag onto an external SCSI Disk just in case) It spends most of its life in OS9 being a desktop for one of my kids and a de-facto mac server for my laptop(s). (that is another story) I just remembered that it even runs a standard SVGA screen via the $25 or so adapter from David Reid's in York St.
No idea about the IMAC but there appears to a load of info about pulling them apart out on the net - (I tend to stick to laptops- Duos, 1400 and my prized Lombard) Doug > From: "Gavin Rewell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Reply-To: "Outback Mac" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: Thu, 07 Aug 2003 15:05:07 +1000 > To: "Outback Mac" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Upgrading the 7220 > > Hi there folks, > > I think your feedback makes a lot of sense.
