The NT1 Plus II has bee replaced about a dozen times over the two years we have had it. Every time there is any kind of electrical activity we have to unplug the modem, as even the smallest power surge fries it. If we're not home when the weather turns bad then we have to pray there is no lightning as it usually takes 3 or more days for Telstra to come and replace the unit and reprogram it, during which time we are without phone, fax and data. It sounds like this is what happened to you. HTH James
