A friend, whose iMac has a fried modem courtesy of a nearby lightning strike, wonders
if an external modem could be attached via the USB port and made to work. Apple wants an horrendous amount to even look at his iMac.
If this is a possibility, what other bits would be required? Software, drivers?
I can snail-mail him with any good advice.
