QA Engineer Job Responsibilities • This position will involve working as a quality assurance engineer to help Progress Software develop a state of the art for developing Progress applications. This position will involve designing and developing all aspects of the test infrastructure needed for smoke testing, unit testing, and functional testing of the new development tools so as to maintain the highest quality standards. This small team of QA engineers will be working with cutting edge Eclipse technologies and will have a large focus on developing the JUnit test infrastructure. In addition they will also be helping to define and establish the testing process and standards for this project. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate and will require a highly motivated and confident individual that is not afraid of being challenged and setting the bar for high quality standards for these tools. Qualifications - Degree/Major: BS Computer Science or equivalent. - Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience in software testing development with a strong background using Java - Must be familiar with and have a good understanding of Eclipse technologies - Must be familiar with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET technologies (C#) - Ability to converse effectively from a remote location. - Should have knowledge on QA Processes - Expertise in coming up with good test cases. - Expertise in writing good bug reports. - Ability to work on Test Infrastructure requirements. - Good communication skills a must.
