Position: ETL / Cognos Developer Location: Warrendale, PA (just north of Pittsburgh) 3-6 Months Contract Rate: $38/hr-on Corp-Corp // $35/hr on W2 Data Warehouse Developer Responsibilities include the general maintenance of the data warehouse databases. This position is responsible for the data creation, data design, testing, integrity, Implementation and troubleshooting of all data warehouses for the company. This position will develop strategies and coordinate between internal DBAs and IT administrators to populate and maintain the data warehouse. Responsibilities will also include the following: . Designs & builds Data Marts to support mission critical Data Warehouse applications . Designs & builds extractions & ETL processes . Develops custom code & scripts to support delivery & presentation of Data Warehouse . Resolves Data Warehouse related production issues . Creates data flows & conceptual models defining the informational needs of projects . Assists in the development of project plans & deliverable lists for proposed projects . Develops & maintains data architecture, data management standards & conventions, data dictionaries, data element naming standards & data dictionary metadata standards . Coordinates activities related to data planning & recovery . Works with Business Analyst and/or users to understand business reporting requirements Required Experience . Proven Data Warehouse data architecture & data modeling skills . Working knowledge of Dimensional Data Modeling & Star Schema design techniques . 3 years experience in Microsoft SQL 2000/2005 . 2 years experience building data warehouses . 2 years using ETL tools (SSIS and/or Cognos DataManager) . Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as COGNOS . Must have worked in a heterogeneous environment & successfully integrated multiple sources or data . Experience developing in .Net or C# or C++ or XML is a plus Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree Certifications a plus Steve Edward Sr. Account Manager Data Group Inc.
