Role: .NET Developer
Location: Hermitage, TN
Length: 6 months +
Technical Environment: .NET 3.5, WCF, MVC, SSIS, SQL, XML, T-SQL
Consultant located near to TN will be given the first preference.
This is a hands-on technical role that will help design and implement Web
application solutions in a very collaborative, team-oriented manner,
following the Scrum development process. The candidate is expected to be a
.NET development generalist, with current skills, and a strong desire to
continually improve.
Job Responsibilities
• Clearly understand project deliverable goals and complete in a timely
manner with a high degree of quality.
• Seek out guidance when project requirements are ambiguous or not well
understood.
• Identify potential risks to project deliverables or timelines and
communicate them to the team lead.
• Create a positive team atmosphere and encourage participation and
collaboration.
• Fully understand the process workflows established at the EDSC.
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions to elicit requirements and
system dependencies.
• Effectively communicate requirements to stakeholders and developers.
• Deliver standards-based solutions on project initiatives while
understanding and following the development methodology and guidance.
• Proactively identify and communicate issues as they arise
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required. Management Information Systems or Decision
Science degrees preferred.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in standards-based, front-end Web application
development.
• Proven ability to work effectively on projects following the Scrum
methodology, with an intermediate to expert working knowledge of the
concepts, tools, and practices.
• Experience with test-driven development and a firm advocate of its use.
• Experience with common design patterns and their application, such as MVC
• Expert TSQL Skills.
• In depth knowledge designing and working with largely scalable enterprise
databases.
• Working knowledge of SSIS.
• Working knowledge of some ORM (nhibernate, entity framework, etc…).
• WCF Experience.
• Strong XML skills (.net and SQL).
• Strong Object Oriented development skills.
• Knowledge of common e-Discovery tools is a plus (i.e. Concordance,
Relativity, Introspect, Discovery Cracker, IPRO, and OCR software packages).
• Experience with LINQ is a definite plus.
• Scrum Certified a plus.
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with all
levels and areas of expertise.
• Ability to identify project risks and escalate in a timely manner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
