*Job Title: SAP BI/BW Consultant** Location: San Diego, CA Duration: 12 months plus Rate: DOE (c2c)* * **Role:** * * * Configures, implements, maintains and upgrades Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application modules (e.g., Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain Management). Analyzes user requirements to determine ERP system configuration and customization. Provides ongoing ERP system support. *Skills* Minimum 8 years of experience with *SAP* *BI*. Hands on and complete implementation of modules of *SAP* BW: PP/PI, QM, SD, IM, FI, etc. Should have played the role of a configurator, programmer and administrator. Understanding of *BI* Administrator Workbench, *SAP* BEx Analyzer/Designer, *BI*/BW Business Content, and *SAP* BW Web Application Designer. Configuration of info providers, time-dependent and time-independent master data/hierarchies, *SAP*/*BI* data modeling, data staging and data extraction expertise, and implementation of enhancements/user exits in R/3 and *BI* is a requirement. Excellent knowledge and experience in back-end *SAP* *BI*/BW components including InfoCubes, InfoSources, InfoObjects, InfoSpokes, ODS Objects, DSOs, update and transfer rules, transformations, and DTPs. Experience with hands on BW development (rather than support) will be preferred. Experience with ABAP *BI* Routines required. Experience with Business Object (Universe design, Dashboarding) is a plus. Monitor to monitor data loading into the InfoCube. Work with R/3 extractors and flat file loading for transactional and master data Adept in creating custom DataSources to extract data from OLTP systems to *BI*/BW through a persistent staging area (PSA). In depth experience on report development on manufacturing modules and APO is a plus. Have gathered requirements from business users, and converted them into technical specifications. Should be able to conduct Business and IT engagement workshops by either setting up quick proto types and/or reviewing process flows. Should have demonstrated capabilities in identifying, owning and resolving issues. Excellent communication skills are essential. Demonstrated skills in creative thinking, teamwork, problem solving, decision making, time management, and verbal and written communication are required. Involved in full life cycle implementation projects with a focus on design, development, deployment, go-live, and post-go-live support activities. Document development phase into IT solution design documents.
