Well, I'm thoroughly impressed. I got my DS9097U yesterday, pulled fuse and owfs from CVS, compiled, installed, ran, and got everything working very quickly. (After I remembered my DS9097U was on ttyS1, not ttyS0) I have working a DS18S20, a DS2405 hooked to an LED, and a DS2408 that will soon control my sprinklers. Thank you guys for your excellent work on this software.

Now, my question... My DS9097U appears to have a DS2502 inside. What is the purpose of this? Is that so I can uniquely identify multiple DS9097Us on the same system? Do I understand right that once I write to this device, that's it forever?

Thanks
srw
