This is my OWFS success story...
I would also like to include my minor OWFS success story. About a year and a half ago I cobbled together with my "very limited skills" a temperature monitoring system based on OWFS for use in-house at our hospital and two other facilities. Here are the screenshots:

Hardware:

Soekris net4801
256MB flash card
iLink one-wire serial adapter. (Could easily be USB)

Software:

Debian Linux
Mysql
PHP
Perl

Unfortunately, I haven't touched the system since then, so it's lacking all the new OWFS features. I would like to get some input from users in the group if I should distribute the source, providing nobody makes fun of my "hack" job...and make something more useful if it. Other than the user interface, I think everything needs to be redone. Here are some ideas.

- Sqlite backend
- Use phpOWFS instead of reading the filesystem.
- Add rrd graphs.
- maybe use OWTF as the backend.
-authen

My resources are limited these days, but this in one project I think might be of value to a lot of people if properly done.
