It should be possible to multi-drop the DS1822 with the addition
of some hardware. If anyone is interested, contact me off line and I'd
be glad to discuss it and share ideas.. One possibility I came up with
back in 2004 is to use a DS2409 hub chip as the multi-drop controller, a
2N700DW and a couple resistors. I also have some better answer if
needed.
It should also be possible to do the reset (once you take care of the
hardware problem) with overdrive speeds I believe. But again there are
some better hardware answers for 1-wire thermostats.
