If you also have an oscilloscope, I'd be interested in timings during the toggle phase. There is a call to Sleep(10) that could be msec or usec. He also seems to send 0x55 0x55 0x55 0x55 0x00 to generate 16 pulses. I see 4 pulses per 0x55 byte and perhaps one more for the stop bit, but it would be nice to confirm. I guess we'd see 15 regular pulses (~16usec each) and a gap before the 16th. Vcc or RTS could be the trigger.

interface DOES work with 32bit timex API!
I did that adaptor like Lenoid wanted and it works with _his_ program and
ds1821.
Then I have disconnected 1821 and put 1820 in the place, and Timex viewer does
show that device! I did not test any other DS**** that I own.
I will check owfs later and post my results here. In the past you told me that
simple http://www.elektroda.net/dla_kompa/ds1820/ds9097e.gif adaptors simply
does not work with owfs, or I have a memory hole in my brain?
