1. Yes the pid file was one of the first requests made for OWFS.
2. I noticed the LINK as well. Looks like a good item to fix!

I just tried --link on the latest code (I had not been using that up
till now). Since I have an ibuttonlink hub as the only interface, it
seemed like the right thing to do. It failed to work correctly. It
showed bus.0 and bus.1 and no devices.
When I took the --link out, everything worked as normal. It's not a big
deal.
